Golf Hosts Fall Competitie Golf switched from spring to fall competi- :ion this year. Coach Keane does not feel this transition had an effect on the winless season ihough. The squad faced stiff competition this rear and was defeated in some close meets. The .1arsity's strongest performance came at the Co- iant Golf Invitational, where the Demons Jlaced sixteenth out of 29 schools and at district fompetition where they finished ninth. Next .fear the team will lose five experienced ettermen. Team captain was Tim Seelos, and Tom Drozdz was voted MVP. The Frosh-Soph squad finished their season with three conference wins. Although the varsity team didnlt do as well as predicted by Coach Bovenmeyer, they im- proved considerably over last year with a record of 3-5-1. The change in team strategy partially contributed to the improvement. Coach Bovenmeyer felt that the team played fine hockey and was able to compete with other high schools. Although the junior varsity didn't quite meet the expected demands with a 1-6-1 season record, the experiences gained will contribute to the varsity team next year, when vacancies in the team will be filled with JV players.
