.emo 'aiu As all good things must come to an end, so must this, our high school career. A great many of us have been class mates and friends since grade school, and now we shall become separated-for school is the tie that binds. Let us lurn back the calendar to the time when we were freshmen, kind of green, weren't we? We made all the traditional freshman mistakes plus a very embarrassing freshmen assembly. It was so long that even our fellow freshmen went home. Then came the sophomore year, just a little higher rank thut nevertheless rankl. That's when we began to find out that school's for education too! Homework? Yes, indeed! The junior year brought with it the title of Upper Classmenf' Ahem! We lived up to it by being one of the school's most active classes. Remember all the fun we had putting on our Junior Play? It was good, too. The best part was the preview at the grammar school. .loan and Don fixed things up right. Another real achievement was our Junior-Senior Ball. Wasn't that something? Dorothy about went crazy getting the decorations up, but then, didn't we all? Ah . . . the year to top them all. The senior year. The tragic part of it is that so many of our fellows have left for the services before the completion of their reign as seniors. We miss them but we're proud of them. Something new was added when we got the brilliant idea of having a 'iSenior Holiday instead of the usual sneak. Most of us hit off for Sacramento. What a day-and on that day a comedian was born! Donald, your card. The senior year has it's serious side too, with a beautiful baccalaureate service and that fateful graduation soon to be faced. We'll probably all want to cry when we loolc at each other as a class for the last time. lt will be so long to many a happy day, when we say good bye to Colusa Hi. As we leave, we take with us many lasting memories and leave behind us a part of our lives never to be forgotten. CLASS OF 45 F
