SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS For being in Columbus only five years, Super- intendent J. P. Young has gained many friends and admirers. He is known for his warm smile and friendly greeting. He is never too busy to speak to a student or a faculty member. Before coming to Columbus, Mr. Young was Superintendent at Carroll, Iowa, and David City, Nebraska. He received his B. S. and M. A. degrees from the University of Nebraska. THE BOARD OF EDUCATION The Board of Education of the Columbus Schools is the foundation from which our schools are growing. The members of the Board of which Mr. Noyes C. Rogers is president, are elected for a term of three years. Mr. Rogers and Mr. Vance Leininger, vice- president, are both serving their first term. Mr. Lester Ernst, secretary of the board, is serving his third term. Mrs. Ina Person is bookkeeper of the board and secretary to the Superintendent. Mr. J. W. Schultz is serving his third term while Mr. Ray Woodrick is serving his first. Mr. George Johansen, Sr., is serving his fifth term. Mr. J. P.
