Rcdedication ceremonies were held on August 27, 1983, to commemorate the reopening of Columbus High School. The building atop the hill on Cherokee Avenue was first dedicated and occupied in September of 1926. COME WALK THE HALLOWED HALLS Come walk the halls of this masonry Phoenix Which bouyed by memories of Daniel and Kendrick Rose from the ashes that smouldered in Wildwood To reclaim the view from on high where it once stood Come walk these hallowed halls Skipworth and Martin, and others of order Now stroll these halls with their Creator Lilienthal, Raht, Rust, and Ray Made life’s full journey, so others could stay To walk these hallowed halls Now lastly to those who lost by misfortune The chance to walk these halls during their turn We ask you to come to the redcdication This building is yours too, have no hesitation To walk your hallowed halls James J.
