Meetings of the Columbus High chapter are held every other Thursday, and programs have included guest speakers, a field trip to the BankAmericard division of the Columbus Bank and Trust Company, and math related films. Several members are also involved in the area mathematics tournaments and spent many afternoons preparing to represent Columbus High in com- petition with other high schools from around the state. Showing Creative Expression Quill and Scroll is an organization composed of those members of the BLUE STREAK and COHISCAN staffs who have excelled in the field of Journalism. The organizationls annual project is selling plastic yearbook covers and an induction is held by the group each spring. Thespians is an honorary society for students who have achieved special ratings in the Drama Department. Although the Columbus High chapter has a small membership of three, the quality of its members makes up for any lacking in size. The Foreign Language Club is composed of those students who are enrolled in a foreign language and interested in participating in activities outside of classroom study. Mrs. Gorman advises the club and does an excellent job of helping to organize related projects and outings. Among these have been attending a Jose Greco concert at Columbus College and pre- senting a Spanish version of A Charlie Brown Christmasi' to the foreign language classes of Arnold Jr. High. Other activities included eating a meal at Taco Casa and holding a club Christmas party where foods from different parts of the world were served. Several members of the club also planned a trip to Mexico during the Spring Holidays.
