This year, the Elizabeth N. Rogers chapter of NHS has continued to uphold these traits while providing recognition for outstand- ing students at Columbus High School. Throughout the year, the club partici- pated in worthwhile school and commu- nity related projects, although its primary activities included a banquet. an induc- tion, and a picnic. The banquet, designed to honor the parents of club members, was held on January 20 in the Columbus High cafe- teria. Entertainment was provided along with a guest speaker. Each member was also given the opportunity to introduce his or her parents. ln the spring, an induction was held, allowing seniors and high-ranking juniors to gain admission into the society. Short- ly after the induction, new members were honored at an annual club picnic, where they presented skits for entertainment. ABOVE: Elizabeth N.
