The purposes of the Student Council are to organize and to unity student activities, to promote the welfare of the student body, to cooperate in programs for the good of the school, and to render service to the community. The activities in which the Student Council participated during the year are as follows: decorating the school before the Christmas holidays, sponsoring parades before the football games, helping to sponsor dances after the football games, participating in the sale ot Christ- mas seals, sponsoring Christmas presents for the janitors, bringing flowers for the school for the G. E. A. meeting, participating inthe March of Dimes, selecting as a project for The year, the securing of a new juke box forthe girls' gym. 77
