It is with honest realization of responsibility and with singleness of purpose that we, the Senior Class of the Columbus High School, Columbus, Wisconsin, nineteen hundred and fifty-nine, leave this hallowed ground. With yet an inner feeling of amazement welling within and a consciousness hovering without, our furtive glance around tells us it all has ended too soon. Solemnly and suddenly, we, the Class of l959, become the first to graduate from this our most recent and modem of schools. lf for no other reason we are so marked, and yet we challenge all you that follow us to achieve more than we and thus surmount our accomplishments. We have sin- cerely, and for the better, begun the fashioning of those characteristics by which this school building shall be known. We solemnly dedicate this final effort to this New House which becomes the epitome of educational opportunity in Columbus. To this we add the challenge -- Carry on.
