TO THE CLASS OF '58 The difference between a happy person and a miserable one can usually be found in the attitude of these individuals toward their work. One invests his personality in his work and it builds him into a happy and well adiusted per- son. The other simply marks time. This has been true while you were in school. lt will continue to be iust as true following your graduation from high school. If you have earned to give your best to the task at hand, and to experience the joy of real achievement, you are well prepared to meet the challenges that lie ahead. M.A. Patchett Superintendent V Y , , ,A , . .77 A., 7-.f ...K X S +9 s- - . ss ,.s..s.:1 and be A-. TZ X ' WL-4 gi, .. 7. -.H ----- To the Seniors: This has been the year of the Sputnik. You people are beginning your adult lives in a new age of exploration such as has seldom been wit nessed before on this globe. Advances in all fields have been so rapid that what is new to- day is often obsolete by tomorrow. For you people the implications are plain, in such a world you cannot afford to cease learn- ing. Although most of you will not continue your formal education past high school you will continue to learn from the many opportunities about you: television, radio, newspapers, mag- azines, on-the-job training, and in many other ways. We trust that we have given you the start that will keep you going. W.S. Reynolds Principal
