SEINIUR Ill TORY On September '7 1948 we entered Columbus I-hgh School Lrke every freshman class we were proud and happy but a lrttle bewrldered w1th our new responsrbrlrtres We chose as class offrcers Pat Jamsch presrdent Sally Wrrght vlce presldent and Mary Huseth secretary treasurer Our flrst unforgettable experrence was bemg rmtrated by the sophomores When rt was over we dlscovered rt was not as horrrble as we had antrcrpated rt to be Upon our return as sophomores we elected Russ Bornrtzke as presrdent Mary Klecker as v1ce resrdent and Lorrarne Rake as secretary treasurer We were very eager to inmate the new reshman class and we gave them a successful party In 1950 we began what we hoped would be a successful Junror year We rmmedrately elected class offrcers choosmg Arthur Jorgenson as presrdent and prom kmg Brll Schroeder as vrce presrdent Russell Bormtzke as secretary and Darlene Wlnters as treasurer The two brg est events of that year were selectrng our class rrngs and the 1un1or prom We were well please w1th our selectron of a rlng and when they came we were qurte excrted We rmmedrately be an to work on the prom early rn 1951 We chose Candyland as our theme C SSS On September 4 1951 we entered our semor and frnal year at Columbus H1gh School We elected Gerald Vander Sanden presrdent Ray Schmrtt vrce presrdent Carol Wetzel secre tary and Francrs Schmrtt treasurer of our class The frrst brg event of thts year was Home comrng Senrors Russell Bornrtzke and V1rg1n1a Schmrtt rergned as lung and queen Our semor dance was held rn January Wllh B111 Schroeder and Mary Klecker as krng and queen The class play was glven ln the sprrng Both events were a success June 8 1952 Baccalaureate was held and June 11 1952 we graduated We left many fond memorres behmd and we are grateful to those who made our days at Columbus Hrgh School so happy x7L7v F ' sw X3 Y Arthur chose Sagly Wright as his queen, Our committees which worked together made it a suc: 'P ' A' V' ' 4 17' ..- it 'Q ' J ' ' ' J C Penny Companv
