Electricity - the most widely used commodity on any ship is pro- vided by the men 'of E Division. The lifiesiwhich carry the vital elec- tricity and most of the equipment which uses the electricity are main- tained by these hardworking experts. Every space which has electrical gear in it. Every department is heavilymdependent upon an unending source of electrical power. The gyroscdpds with which we navigate, direct our weapons, and read our radars correctly are elec- trical. That is just -the beginning. Electricians don't do it alone but they do their share. Electricians are not visible until the lights go out. They are an outstanding group of men and have done a highly com- mendable job keeping the 'ship electrically operational the entire cruise.
