'Q .. if 'u, Y We-if as EXECUTIVE FFICER 'Nw - . ' CDR VICTOR G. VWARRINER, USN .6 .. Commander Victor G. Warriner vias born in San Francisco, California, on Octo- ber 21, 1922. Entering the Navy in Decem- ber 1941, he served with the fleet in the South Pacific until March 1944. He then entered the V-12 and then the NROTCprq- gram at the University of California at Berkeley, California, from which he was commissioned Ensign on June 5, 1946. He subsequently attended a years course in Electronics Maintenance at Great Lakes, Illinois, received his Baccalaureate ofSci- ence from the Naval Science School at Monterey, California, and received his Masters of Science in Physics from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, in 1962. He served in the pre-commissioning detachment of Lake Mead Base, Las Vegas, Nevada, at Sandia Base, Albuquerque, New Mexico, actually commissioning the new base in September, 1954. During World War ll he served as a radarman on board the USS MARYLAND and COLORADO and after commissioning served on the USS IOWA QBB-615, USS TOPEKA QCL-675, USS WORCESTER QCL- 144y ,A USS HARWOOD QDE-8613, USS ESSEX QCVA-93 and more recently as Weapons Officer of the USS OKLAHOMA CITY QCLG- 5b and as'.Comm'an.ding Officer USS SHIELDS QDD-5965.
