Varsity Basketball Coach My. Rosenbaum, Randall Klppe, Ellison Roach, Melvin Buhl, Co-Captain: Wayne Collier. Ron Myers, Bill Wopdrow, Co-Captain: Bill Kreger, Bill Burgess, Manager Johnny Kippe. Mining: Jerry Pu-ks. The 1954-55 varsity was made up of nine men, with four returning lettermen. Bill Kreger, Wayne Collier, Ron Myers, and Jerry Parks were the veteransg and Ellison Roach, Melvin Buhl, Bill Woodrow, Bill Burgess, and Randall Kippe moved up from the reserves to make a fairly strong team. The team had an average height of 6'l . Ron Myers led the scoring, followed close- ly by Wayne Collier. The Wolves won ll out of 17 games during the season, with the highlight coming in a victory over a strong Maple Grove team in February. Columbiaville ended up in third place in the Little Seven League behind Kingston and Akron. Their tournament play was limited to a 59-42. loss to Kingston. The big event for the Little Wolves was in defeating the strong Kingston Reserve team for their only loss of the season.
