Class Will We, the Senior Class of One Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifty-Five, being of sound mind and joyous memory after these last four strenuous and hard years.: and realizing that we are about to pass through the portals into the land of tomorrow, do hereby make this as our last and best will and testament, revoking any and all former wills by us at any time heretofore made. The Senior Class leaves to the Faculty of Columbiaville High School our great in- telligence. From experience we know that they will need it, for we know it has been a hard task to keep all of the students in step. To the Junior Class we leave our now empty treasury book and hope that next year you can build up as high an account as we did this year, so that you will be able to go on a short trip, maybe to Potter's Lake, for a day or two. To the Sophomore Class, the Seniors will their orderly classes so that hereafter the Sophomores will be able to get something accomplished in them. To the Freshman Class, the Seniors will their utmost sympathy, honesty, brains, and quietness, as we know they will need all of them to get along with the teachers next year. I, Melvin Buhl, I, Glenn Chapman, I, Wayne Collier, I, Ellen Covey, I, Clinton Crum, I, .Tune Forrest, I, Charlene Harris , I, Bill Kreger, I, .Terry Miner, I, Ron Myers, will my driving ability to anyone who feels he isn't risking his life. will my loudness to anyone who thinks that the teachers can stand for it as Mr. Rosenbaum did at all our class meetings. will my quietness in Mrs. Brockriede's study halls to Paul Erwin, as I feel he will need this ability in years to come. hereby will my ability to do BOOKKEEPING lwithout knowing how I did itl to anyone who thinks that they dare take the chance to try it. ' will my ability to play cards with the janitors during school to Dale Newcombe, as I know he will enjoy it as well as I did. will my ability of sticking to one man to Margaret LeValley, as she will probably want one in tirne to come. will my basketball ability to Io Ann Palek. will my ability to sell the most tickets for anything that comes along to anyone who thinks he can keep up with me. will my driving ability to Keith Ward since he will need it to keep out of ditches like I did. hereby bequeath my ability to get expelled from Mrs. Brockriede's study halls to Dale Ross and Randall Kippe as they are always quiet there. Class History In the fall of the year 1951, 27 Freshmen joined the roll call at Columbiaville High School. Our class officers were: President, Melvin Buhlg Vice-President, Robert Carlsg Treasurer, Charlene Harris: Secretary, Nancy Dykesg Class Sponsor, Mr. Spurck, later Mr. Bartholomew. During the year we lost Betty Sawyer, Lawrence Ihrki, and Donald Ihrki. We also received Dean Woods in November. Our activities for the year started out with our initiation by the Sophomores, Later on in the year we had a Bake Sale, Roller Skating Party and served eats at the Shop Bingo tiviiik After a short leave we returned as full-fledged Sophomores, with 21 attending. Our class officers were: President, Robert Carls: Vice-President, 'Melvin Buhl: Treasurer, Charlene Harris: Secretary, Phyllis Glann: Class Sponsor, Mr. Dorsch. We had lost from last year Patricia McMullen, Ola Douglas, and Arnold Bellinger, with Betty Gee leaving during the year. Our activities for the year were a Bake Sale, two dances after the basketball games, and a Roller Skating Party. kikikii We then returned as great big Juniors with a decreased number of 14. Our class officers were: President, Glenn Chapmang Vice-President, James Carpenter: Treasurer, Charlene Harris: Secretary, Phyllis Glann, with June Forrest taking over when Phyllis left us: Student Council Representative, Melvin Buhlg Class Sponsor, Mr. Rosenbaum. We no longer had with us from last year Barbara Rice, Beverly June, Nancy Dykes, Joy Coe, William Haack, James Klauka, Carol Moorhouse, Richard Ross, and Dean Woods. Our new members were James Carpenter, Rodger Lindgren, and Jerry Miner. We later lost James Carpenter, Rose Coe, Phyllis Glann, and Rodger Lindgren. The activities for the year were a Roller Skating Party, Junior Play, HAVE A HEART, and the Junior and Senior Banquet. kkkkikk In September of'1954, we joined that glorious roll call of Seniors with the whole sum of 10. A Our class officers were: President, Glenn Chapman: Vice-President, Wayne Collier: Treasurer, Bill Kreger: Secretary, Charlene Harris: Class Sponsor, Mr. Rosenbaum. Our activities for the year were our Senior Play, THE GHOST CHASER, a Donkey Basketball Game, and publishing the Year Book. The Juniors gave us a Banquet and we took our Senior Trip to New York City. Last of all came Baccalaureate, Class Night, and then the great day of Commencement. Our happy days at Columbiaville High School were over.

To Melvin Buhl, To Glenn Chapman, To Wayne Collier, To Ellen Covey, To Clinton Crum, To June Forrest, To Charlene Harris, To'Bill Kreger, To Jerry Miner, To Ron Myers, To Mrs. Collins, To Mrs. Fader, To Mr. Rosenbaum, To Mrs. Brockriede, To Mrs. Backus, To Mr. Abel, To Mrs. Barbour, To Mr. Naber, we give this car so his dad won't have to worry about letting him take his. we give this rubber bone to chew on so the Hardware won't go broke buying pencils all the time. we give this gas pump so he won't get lonely for the store if he should happen to go away to college or work. we give this tall, dark and handsome man to keep her com- pany, as she doesn't seem to find the right one . we give this card of curlers so he can keep his hair curled and Marie won't have to bother. we give this package of gum so she won't have to bum it off of someone else when she gets out of school. we give this rolling pin, so she can keep Bud under control when he gets out of step. we give this girl to keep him company at week end movies while Barbara is at college. we give this new car to replace the one which is smashed from hitting the barn late at night. we give this pair of red basketball shorts as we know he al- ways has wanted to dye his red. we give this roll of bills to start her and her husband on their new home. we give this racer so she will be able to get home without waiting for her husband to come and get her. we give this Yo Yo so he can start saving his half dollars instead of doing tricks with them. we give this book, How to Understand Seniors . we give this airplane so she will be able to fly home and back whenever she gets homesick. we give this SCOOTER to save his walking back and forth to school. we give this check book in remembrance of all the checks we wrote. we give this box of pills tn help you grow so you can be seen.
