THE DISCOVERY OF GOLD - Twelfth Grade n Morro: Forward ever, bacl-:ward never COLORS: Green and white. FLOWER: R White rose. I A-if? As Freshmen we started on our search for gold. We had to make certain choices as to courses and extra-curricular activities. We had a formal dance, the theme ot which was a cir- cus. Near the close ot this important year the play Almost Eighteen was presented by some of our class. ln our Sophomore year we faced new and strange territory, for this was our first year at Col- umbian l-ligh. We felt that we were a close-knit group so we Chose colors and a motto. Our Prom was an important occasion. As we came closer to our goal, the obstacles increased. But because we were enterprising young people, we overcame them. A Iunior-Senior basketball game was sponsored to raise money for our Prom. We were all transported to Paradise lsle tor that evening. The decora- tions at this dance given for the Seniors were in the capable hands ot Carolyn Turner. At last-GOLD! To those of us who have worked for twelve years, our diplomas are just as valuable as gold. Our leaders in this year of success were: President ................... .............
