'f l .Nxt Lili' 'bl 'worm' il l c x Members of the Class of l967, we are gathered here in this foggy dawn, moistened by the very tears of Heaven to bid farewell to a beloved friend. Maxwell Hall swoons with sadness on this most solemn of occasions. As we cast our black shoes and stockings into this abyssmal crypt we bid adieu to a brand, a symbol, a stigma. For many of us these are the self-same thread-bare, run-streaked stockings, the very same holey and tattered shoes which we donned crisp and new as freshmen But let me not continue with these memories that only serve to tear and torture your hearts Only can each girl in her own heart mourn this passing and deal with the separation anxieties that plague her at this moment. And so we bid farewell, not fond, we bid adieu, not glad. Gone are our black shoes and stockings, gone, but they will never be forgotten.
