Vanderbilt, B.S. DIRECTOR OF RESIDENCE DEDICATION We have been inspired by Miss Vanderbilt and her deep and sincere interest in us. She has more than ful- filled her duties as Director of Residence and Student Health. We shall always remember her smile at our successes, her pleas on our behalf, and her concern for our problems. With appreciation for her guidance, understanding, and unfailing spirit, we dedicate this Starch and Stripes of 1962 to Miss Vanderbilt. Nine strong, in all sizes, they create a bright spot in our class. By popular vote, into each class conies an honorary member who is asked to become a part of the group. We chose a gem when we selected Dr. George Crikelair. Crikelairs ' talents range from being fun-type poets, jolly guests, and prolific class members to a sideline of plastic sur- gery. Dr. Crikelair has commented, It ' s amazing how much you and yours have gotten to know me and mine in such a short time. This states perfectly how we feel about him and his. We offer our thanks for his time and sincere interest in the Class of ' 62. Our adopted family. 20 Class Adviser Miss Eunice Messier came to the Medical Center in 1956, bringing with her a diversified background that ranged from designing missiles in New Jersey to studying Spanish in Mexico. Currently vying for her time are sports, cooking, and graduate courses at Columbia Teachers College. Miss Messler ' s nurs- ing ability and personal warmth are acknowledged by the Class of 1962. t Eunice C. Messier A.B., M.N.
