Gln the 7 hiinra nf this Qlnlumhian fx . X T IS with a feeling of great Jleasure that I ex ress throu 'h you to the Class' of FQIS the appreciation ofpthe honorif V your dedication. M N Vvlien one compares the CoLUMlsrAN of to-day with its predecessors of a decade or so ago, the great and 354633 5. . . . sturdv growth of Columbia is most forcibly brought to . -'D . 'O mind. No better indications can be obtained than those which the pages of the Co1,UMl:1,xN present of what Columbia men are doing outside of classroom study and laboratory. Here our activities, social, intellectual and athletic, are recorded, and if these records serve any purpose at all they show in no inistakable manner that Columbia men are learning that lesson of greatest value, of how to live and work with one's fellows. Here are recorded not the achievement of the individual, but the eHorts of an organization, of a teamgcomposed of many, all animated by the single thought of doing something which will bring credit to and advance the interests of Alma Mater. The Class of 1915 has completed more than half the journey set out upon some two years ago, and the time will come too quickly when it will pass out of Columbia's gates to take its proper place in the life of the day. The 1915 CoLUM131rxN will be one of the strongest links of the chain of remembrance that will always bind its members to Morningside. l can send no better wish to the members of the Class of 1915 than that in after years the COLUMIHAN may recall to them, memories of the four years spent here, memories as pleasant as those the class will leave with us who had the privilege of working with them.
