Practice Makes Perfect One of the units covered in the Family Relations class is how to plan and organize a mock wedding. Depending on the size of the class, two to four girls are chosen to par- ticipate as brides in this event. Everyone has a part in the wedding. There are committees such as decorations, food, music, invitations. The bridesmaids and groomsmen for the wedding parties were Tracy Sheuerman, Jennifer Thomas, Kim Session. Scott Smith, John Brown, and Arnie Kainu. This is considered a very enjoyable class because of its practical applications to real life situations. Brides and Grooms at the reception. Foreign Exchange The foreign exchange system brings to us students from many different countries through various programs. When a student is exchanged and comes to the US. he or she lives with a host family, and are considered as a member of the family for the length of their stay. The exchange students who will graduate from River this year are the following: Issabella Mshimba, living with the Smith family; Heidi Huotari, living with the Birland family; Hug Schouten, living with the Halleck fami- ly; Charles Schweicher, living with the MacDonald family; and Gabriela Nen- ninger living with the McAllister family. Other students who visited River for only a short time were; Fernado Luis Suarez from Bolivia, J. Gerado Fer- nandez Atilano from Phillipine Islands, Hideyuki (Oscar) Iwaki from Japan, and Marco Antonio Bothello from Brazil. We at Columbia River High School hope that the students ' visit here was pleasant, and that they will take home with them part of our culture as we have taken to our hearts a part of their culture in getting to know them personally.
