CR Bands Have Pride The 1981-82 Chieftain Band had a great year of music. The marching band ' s highlights included a trip to Corvallis, Oregon for the OSU Band Day, the Kingbowl Marching competition, and the Spring Tour with the stage band and swing choir, when the groups traveled to Aberdeen and Montesano, Washington. The concert band also did well, receiving a superior 1 rating at the LCRMEA Band Contest at Fort Vancouver High School. The stage band had a year full of impressive perfor- mances, and the pep band provided winning spirit at basketball games. And the best part about being in band was the togetherness that could be felt at football halftime performances or on band trips when the slogan was: We Have Pride — We Are CR!
