German Club Active The 1981-82 school year was a suc- c essful one for Columbia River ' s German Club. The first major activity for the club was their participation in the foreign language Halloween Party in October. During the days preceeding the Winter Holidays, German Club sold homemade apple cider. Looking toward the 1982-83 school year, the club planted pumpkins to sell during Halloween. This year ' s officers were: Tim Huff, President; Pat Bor-de-Ville, Vice- President; Kris Alexander, Activities Coordinator; Katherine Bor-de-Ville, Mike Garretson, Liasons. French Club The French club, headed by Mrs. Franklin, had a busy year filled with cultural activities. They sold Spook-o-Grams at Halloween and sold tickets at football and basketball games. The money they raised from these enterprises was used to pay for a dinner at a posh French restaurant. The highlight of the year was the annual French Parents ' Night. In keeping with the theme Mardi Gras, it was an evening of music, french food, and, of course, the Can- Can. The parents seemed to enjoy themselves and the event was termed a success.
