The staff members were chosen by Father Lane at the beginning of the school year, and work was finally begun in early February. A new feature. which is introduced this year is the drawings of lid Sinclair, who is considered the lValt Disney of Columbia Prep. There is also several candid camera shots , which were taken by .lack lvieby and Bob Carter, as well as several other members of the Prep student body. Xlany long hours were spent in writing this annual. which is a final tribute to this year's senior class, 'lihis book is to be dedicated to joseph Kehoe, who taught at Columbia Prep two years ago. Klr. Kehoe, one of the most popular professors ever to grace the campus, is to be ordained a priest in the Holy Cross Order soon. Xleetings were held every two weeks in the discussion room of the Science Building. During the meetings moving pictures were shown, demonstra- tions were enacted. and talks given on the different phases of chemistry. It very rapidly became one of the leading organizations in the school. The Physics Club undertook several trips, heard numerous in- teresting lectures from the members of the club, and kept a scientific scrapbook throughout the school year. The meetings of the club were held every week after school in the Science Building. At these meetings the members were given topics to write about for the next meeting. Several inter- esting discussions were held on the different scientific inventions such as the telephone, radio, television. photographic lens. and many other interesting! subjects. The main idea of the club was to organize intramural sports and hold meetings, at which each member could express his views concerning the various club activities. The Boarders' Club was represented in the Prep Review by the Boarders' Column. which was written by George Charters and Thomas Feenev. ln this year's Boarders' Club there were thirteen members, six of these were Seniors. three Juniors, no Sophomores and four Freshmen. The Club decided not to elect any officers this year. but rather to make it a joint organization. At each meeting of the Club, a chairman was chosen to preside over that respective meeting. lhe lioarders Llub organized several intramural teams which included: basketball. baseball and touch tackle football teams, which compete among themselves and the teams of the dav students. The boarders were also active in various fields. Several of them were represented on the football, basketball, baseball. track. swimming and tennis teams.
