BICKEL, 'l2 First Vice President THE Alumni Association ofthe Law School is an organization of graduates of Columbia Law School. The aims ot the Association are to continue active interest in and support of the Law School, to sponsor lectures of interest to practicing lawyers, to assist graduating law students in finding positions, and to continue the comaraderie of student days. Among the activities of the group during the past year was the successful testimonial dinner given in honor of Governor Thomas E. Dewey of New York, on November 24th in the Grand Ballroom ot the Waldorf-Astoria. Alumni, fac- ulty and students gathered to pay tribute to one of the Law SchooI's graduates. ln addition, during the past year, the Association gave practical as well as moral encouragement to the establishment and success of the student sponsored Law School News. Among its other activities in aid of the student body, it cooperated with the Placement Bureau in finding positions for graduating students. Other officers, not pictured here, are: WILLIAM R.
