Ten years after graduation we find: Billy Ainsley and Ray Owens own all farms in Tyrrell County and also own the largest “Potato Chip” factory in Eastern U.S. Vernon Alexander is a famous artist and is living in Hawaii with his wife, Dora Mae Sykes, and their three children. William Andrews is now mortician in Columbia, N.C. Gordon Armstrong is roaming the streets in his 1982 Patrol car. Horace Bailey now owns the largest Night Club in Chicago. Vinessa Barrow is a famous model living in California and is married to a millionaire. Beverlie Basnight is owner and operator of “Here's The Thing to Wear” and Company, one of the world’s largest Fashion Designing and Modeling Schools in Hollywood, California, and is also Director of her son’s theater. Carol Basnight, the Medical Secretary, had to quit her job in order to take Robert his lunch everyday at “Spruill’s Incorporated.” Helen Basnight is now married to Tony Selby and is living in New York City. Bennie Brickhouse is an auto mechanics teacher in New York City. C.J. Brickhouse is manager of “Keep Slim Corporation.” Flora Bryant and Laura Liverman are the first women Senators from N.C. (after a brilliant law career). Judson Bryant is now owner of Bryant's Chevrolet Company in Alligator. Nan Cahoon couldn’t make it to the class reunion because she was at the church becoming Mrs. Claude Armstrong. Hal Furlough is now part-owner of Tyrrell Oil Company. Football’s one-man demolition team, Jimmy Furlough, is now representing the U.S. in the World Olympics. Ronald Gibbs has just finished a world-wide tour with Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. They are billed as the three Blind Men. Diane Hill is a secretary at Princeton College in New Jersey. Janet Hill is now the Dean of the University of N.C. at Durham and is married to Jackie Rowls. Janice Hill is now a famous model in Tennessee and is married to Willie Howell. Vickie Jones is married to Chucky Simmons and is living in Frying Pan. After ten years, Carla Litchfield had to get her chauffeur’s license because Ronnie lost his again. Glenda Liverman is Chairman of the Social Science Department at Smith College, Northampton, Massachusetts. Carlton Rowsom has found a new means of transportation, a car. Rena Sanderlin, now Mrs. Grimsley, had to take the International to go on vacation in order to take all the kids. Donald Shipman is making it big on the record scene. He is exhausted and at home convalescing with his wife Bonnie Alexander after a world-wide tour promoting his fifty-first gold record (selling over five million copies) and his second feature movie. He’s al- ready won an Oscar for his award-winning performance. Barbara Simpson is an obstetrician at St. Luke Hospital in New York City and just delivered Janie Spencer and Walt Hill’s fifth baby. Sambo (Bryan Snell) and Fatboy (Rickie Vanhorn) now own Snell and Vanhorn Trucking Company. Phyllis Snell has returned to C.H.S. to take Drivers Ed. in order to renew her license. Donald Spencer continued his education in data processing in New York City and is now the Manager of the IBM computers at Cape Kennedy. Gary Spruill has finally gotten his drivers license after 10 years of trying. Linda Spruill is a teacher at Queen’s Elementary School in New York. Nadine Spruill is now the most valuable woman player in the NBA. Donna Swain, now Mrs. Brickhouse, has turned her mother out of house and home in order to have room for her six children.
