Football After an absence of six years, football has returned to C.H.S. Stiff competition and inexperience handed the team a losing season. Although the team lost, many underclassmen gained in experience which can be used in future seasons. We congratulate the team for its suc- cess in bringing the sport back to our school. But it took more than the team. Money was needed for equipment and uniforms. The boys had to be trained. For the financial help we thank Mr. White, whose efforts got us started, and Kirkman Lumber Co, who provided lumber for the stands, a badly needed blocking sled, and most of all, new shoulder pads. For training we sincerely ap- preciate the efforts of Coach Brickhouse and the as- sistance of Thomas and John Kirkman.
