Mr. and Miss Columbian Allen Brickhouse Being named MR, COLUMBIAN is not an award bestowed upon all. Although all cannot share in the honor itself, all share in the happiness and pride they feel for those who are so honored. Chosen by the faculty as the senior boy who best personifies the ideals of Columbia High School was ALLEN BRICKHOUSE, MR. COLUMBIAN. Carol McClees Continuing honor and notoriety come to but a small percentage of a school's population. One so honored, CAROL McCLEES, MISS COLUMBIAN, was chosen by the faculty for her cooperation, dependability, industriousness, initiative, and citizenship. All at CHS share in the joy and happi- ness of this distinct honor.

There is one who has taught us. There is one who has prodded us to strive for higher goals. There is one who has gently quided us toward a brighter pathway when the direction in which we were travel- ing seemed dismal and bleak. There is one who has been a friend when we have particularly needed a friend. There is one who has treated us as individuals. There is one who has shared the pleasures and problems of our senior year.
