On September 1, we accepted our challenge to a new school year. At once most of us recognized the fact that the tasks which lay before us would not be easy. OEedication MR. WaALteER J. TAYLOR, JR. Because he was facing the problems of a new principalship as we were experiencing the problems of freshmen... because he became familiar with his position as we became familiar with ours... because he is deeply concerned with the welfare of the student and the progress of the school. . . because he is the very symbol of dignity and education. . . because of our respect for him, we dedicate the 1965 Columbian to Mr, Walter J.
