Home and Life Relationships tH Homemaking endeavors to teach the art of making a happy and comfortable home. It draws upon science, art, social science, psychology, and mathematics for a combined knowledge from many fields to solve home-life problems. It emphasizes such practices as food preparation, cloth- ing construction, wise purchasing habits, caring for children, maintenance of good family relationships, budgeting of time and energy, good citizenship, and the importance of taking an active part in social and civic affairs in the community. SANDRA OWENS, President; CAROL McCLEES, Vice-President; NELLIE BALL, Secretary and Treasurer; NANCY OWENS, Reporter; ABBIE KAY HARRELL, Song Leader; and PATRICIA BASNIGHT, Pianist, were chosen as this year's FHA leaders. HH Future Farmers of America work to promote a complete life for all its mem- bers and their community. Leaming to take orders and to work together in groups is the guiding principle behind the FFA. Members of the FFA have the opportunity to learn public speaking, group organiza- tion, andthe proper way to conduct meet- ings by parliamentary procedure. These things teach the members of the FFA how to get things accomplished in their com- munity through co-operation and service.
