In Memoriam Floyd Brickhouse was a jolly person, who always looked at the bright side of things. If we were down in the dumps or feeling low, Floyd was all we needed. His cheerful words, friendly smile, and pat on the back, were enough to make the saddest person happy. As we walk the halls of C.H.S. and no longer see that smile or hear that friendly word, we are saddened. Our hearts are heavy with sorrow, but sometime, maybe even tomorrow, we will see again the smiling face of our dear friend. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. Percy Davenport was a quiet person but very help- ful. If there was work to be done, we could always call on him. If we needed a friend, he was with us. If Wwe were ever in trouble, he was for us. We called him Buddy, and a truly great buddy he was. Though he is gone, he is with us still. In ourhearts he remains, and always will.

The time is approaching when we, the Seniors of 1961 must part from the halls of dear old C.H.S., and there is one person who will always stand out in our memory. During our wonderful years of high school, she has been devoted, understanding, patient, and loving to everyone. Whenever we were in distress, in need of guidance, or advice, she always had a sympathetic ear and words of ins piration to help us through our delemmas, no matter how trivial they might be. Every morning we were greeted by her wonderful smile which seemed to start the day off tight. We shall always cherish her friendship and guidance with love and admiration. As a small token of our esteem for her, it is with great pleasure and honor that we dedicate the 1961 COLUMBIAN to our beloved senior advisor, MRS. MADGE LANE VAN HORN,
