Class Prophecy It is now the year 1967. The world is indeed in a turmoil. The U.S. has been threotened with an invasion, and the President has been in conference for three days with grave, dignified Grace Cartwright, Secretary of The invasion is being threatened by Michael Griffin, former.Secretary of Treasury, who skipped the country with every cent the U.S. had. The Rock-n-Roll craze has again hit the country, and teenagers ore going wi Id over Thomos Morris, the Elvis Presley of the day. Opera, too, hos the country in a spin. Bobby Smith made history when he brought down the Metropolitan Opera House, by singing HOUND DOG in A sharp. The hottest comedienne of all times has hit New York like an Atom Bomb. Nancy Swain, who experts say is better than Berle, has audiences rolling the aisle. Her agent and right hand man is none other than Hubert Spencer. Lexihe Owens is known far and wide for her kind heart and generosity. She owns and manages The River Neck Home for Stray Cats and Dogs. The record for speed hashit an all-time high by the greatest racer ofall times, that world-famous Daredevil. Gordon Basnight. The tall, slim, redhead, leaning on the fence is Joyce Marie Hassell, his top-notch mechanic. Doris and Nan Brickhouse have opened a modest Tea Shoppe in downtown Gum Neck after striking oil on Sound Side. Phyllis Davis is working hard on her farm at Alligotor. In a few more years, she hopes to be able to sell her mules, and buy a tractor. It ' s rumored thatshe and her business manager, Jimmy Swain, are fightingall the time. Jane Selby and Judy McDuffie have put up a Drive-In Movie at Little Florido and are really raking in the dough. There ' s no extra charge if you want to go s w i mm i ng between movies. Sterling Spruill is President of the Sofe Drivers ' Association, and Michael Swain is his Assistant. Lawrence Brickhouse isa moviestar. He has been proclaimed the greatestscreen loyersince Rudolph Valentino. C. J. Livermon is a famous psychiatrist, and Buddy Brickhouse was hisfirstpatient. Buddy suffered o nervous breakdown when he discovered that there were people living outside Gum Neck. At Madison Square Garden, Ellis and Henry Cohoon are preparing to battle for the title. Between fights, Ellis models Bermuda Shorts for Macys ' , and Henry works as a Ballet Instructor. Lorry Brickhouse became famous by being the first man to go over Nicagara Fa I Is in a cardboard box. When lost seen, he was trying to swim bock up, using a slightly hurried Australian Crawl. Sam S. Woodley has just returned from Mars. Scientists finally decided that life did exist there and sent Sam to investigate unfortunately. There were a few humans strolling quite happily about, but after three hours of Sam ' s Hello Martion speech, they packed their belongings ond caught the first meteor over to Jupiter. Morietta Swain is doing quite well for herself these days. She isa Junior Partnerin Columbia ' s Used Car Lot. She is responsible for their newmotto, Don ' t drive an old wreck—buy a new one from us. At Washington, the Redskins are having their greatest season. The coachsays that it ' s all due to the work of Crazy Legs, formerly known as Alfred Davenport. He ' s the fastest water boy they ' ve ever had. Oh, yes, have any of you seen J. E. Roughton lately? J. E. became quite famous when he discovered what went on behind the green door. In his spare time, he tests new jet planes for the Air Force. Yvonne Brickhouse is just settling down to life again, after winning the Mrs. Americo contest. That young man following her around, obviously her husband, looks familiar, but 1 can ' t quite place him. Geraldine Moran is Assistant Principal of ol ' CHS. In memory of the 1957 Senior boys, she operates a Pool Hall during lunch time. Peggy Davis Iws just returned from Australia, where she captured first place in the weight-lifting contest, during the great Olympics. Frenthman o around the world and she captured something too-a tall, dark, Ann Selby owns a large publishing firm in New York and her best-selling author is Betty Rhodes. Bettv be- came known world over, when the 1957 Senior Class Annual, with her Class Prophecy in it, sold o BETTY RHODES Class Prophetess
