next yoans team, left- Ray Anderson filled the end position very capably until he was injured during a game. Ray will be back in next years lineup. P Bill Lawson came late in the season with many promises of be- ing a good football lplayer. Bill will be a great benefit to next years team. . Alfred Brisbois, quarter back, filled the position very well. Ho is a hard driving and faking ballhandler. This was Alfred's first year as quarter back,but he will be back next year to fill out the position with his snappy play and signal calling. Edward Angstrom, left half- back, with his passing attack was a great benefit to his team. Ed is a sophomore and will star on next years team. With more experience Ed's running and blocking will improve. , Ray Addington, right half- bach, with the speed of light- ning and hard driving line plunges, assisted the Lions to victory more than once. Ray is a sophomore and will be the ace of next years squad. - Senior High Basketball Jim Carlson, 'flashy junior, held down center position on the starting lineup with the greatest ability. Jim improved throughout the season and will star continually on next year's team. He is an excellent ball handler and a very good shot. Holding down the guard ppsi- tions were those speedy sopho- mores, Ed Angstrom and Hal Davis. They work nicely on the back- beard and were a great benefit to the team. They should star throughout next years season with the results of more ox- perionco. Forward positions were held down by these all-star Burgess boys. Lorin is a sophomore and Loy a senior. They are both -nu.Q-of-u-.-. good ball handlers and wonderful shots which lead the team to many victories. Beings this is Loys last year he will be missed on next years team. Lorin will be back starring to full extent with next-years championship five. -The five substitutes that traveled with the team and played their hearts out but sel- dom were Dick Jennings, Larry Hanner, Archie Bradeen, Alfred Brisbois, and Orville Kcmmerer. These boys are all fair ball handlers and shots. Their man- agers on the floor were very good. Larry is the only senior and will be missed considerably. They will all help to make a strong team next year. -ns-utn--.--- D

September 12 Round Robin at Colville Hunters Hunters September 19 Hunters September 27 Hunters 'October 5 Hunters October 10 Hunters October 17 Hunters October 21 Hunters October 24 Hunters Left tackle was cared for by the hard tackling of Hal Davis Hal is a sophomore and with the tackling and blocking of Davis any team can win. Davis will always be on the starting eleven Larry Hanner a senior filled right guard with his 160 pounds of hard muscle. Larry's drive in opening holes benefited the team in many ways. This is Larry's last year for high school football. Don Emerson a beautiful tackler filled that position with the greatest of ability. Don. is a junior and will have his suit and position waiting for him next year. There was always a hole on the right side of the .line when Emerson was playing. Right end position was filled lost lost lost lost to Kettle Falls--13 to 0 to Colville--7 to 0 to Chewelah--58 to O to Colville--20 to 6 defeated Valley--36 to O and Springdale tied--15 to 15 defeated Northport--55 to O lost lost very capably by Dick Jennings a junior. With more experience Dick wil star on next years team with his defensive playing and pass snagging. to Odessa to Kettle Falls--20 to 14 Loft end was. speedy sophomore, Ho wqs very good ing and defensive a hard tackler held down by a Lorin Burgess. in pass snagg- play. He was with a very shifty run. He will be one of the mainstays of next years team. Left tackle was taken ovtr very capably by Jim Carlson who came to us from Bethel. Jim is a junior and will be with the squad next year. Ho is a good blocker and hard tackler. With more experience next yegrs team will be greatly benefited. Left guard was capably filled by 1 sophomore, Archie Bradeen. Ho showed fair ability in his blocking and tackling but more experience is needed. Archie's position will be reserved on next years team. Our center, Kerm Boissoneau, and a veteran of two years,was always on the ball, and filled his position very good. He is a sophomore and will be the key to

Junior High Basketball Byron Countryman played cen- ter on the Junior High and will be expected te do well in basketball next year. Pete Cannon and Nels Carlson held down the forward positions. With hard training these boys will make a winning ball club in the next few years. Lawson played guards. Lawrence was noted for his ball handling and Bill was noted for his speed and dribbling. Bert Wiltse, Charles Wiltse, and Ray Mattisen substitued and proved to be very usefull when needed. Bert and Ray were very good shots but were handieaped A Lawrence McNamara and Bill by their size.
