Four Hylanders were all-conference: seniors Larry Kullas, Tom Codute, Dave Knoll, and junior John Alt. The highlight of the season was a rematch with Mounds View after an earlier defeat to them. This time the Hy- landers won before more than 2500 fans. The Hylanders' three year record here at Heights is 51 wins and 2 losses. The Junior Varsity team again went undefeated this year with a 16-0 record. The high-powered offense averaged over 70 points a game for most of the year. Highlights of the year were Ken Montzka's 34 points scored in one game and Grant Guzy's 40 foot shot at the buzzer that beat Irondale by one point. This team proves that Heights will have at least one more super varsity team. The Sophomore season ended in 10 wins and 8 losses. The soph's started out the season with a lot of hope but their lack of height hurt them a lot.
