It was also one of the most successful swim seasons ever for the Hylanders. Co-Captains Jim Williams and Dan Kelley led the 51 member squad Qwith only 3 Seniors and 11 Juniorsb to a respectable 9- I 5 dual meet record and solid championship meet per- formances. The top scorers for the swimmers were Barry Miracle and Jin i Williams. The divers were among the most talented in the state and were led by school record holders Scott Lee, John Bredlmus, and Joe Miske. Coaches Steve Stewart, Brian Kise and Sue Melin rated this squad as potentially the most talented in the schooI's history. It was a great year. 5 .,,.

The teams had 26 members in total, with enough team spirit that the Hy- landers Girls team came alive and nothing could or would stop the girls team! The team record board is the most impressive highlight of our season. Ev- ery record was broken during this fall season for 1978-1979. Also the dual meets, conference and non-confer- ence gave the girls some new goals for the forthcoming season to accomplish and win the meets lost during this pre- vious season.
