They ended one of their best seasons ever with a 7-2 record. With captains Rob Blanc, Dick Petkoff, Pat Keefe, Joe Gafkhen, and other mem- bers ofthe team, there should be a lot of potential for a super varsity team next season.

Hites Varsity football squad finished the season with a 6-3 record. This season compared to the last few years was not the best since for the last 2 years we were North Suburban Conference Champs. Even though we didn't win the Conference, school spirit was behind our Hylanders all the way. The first game of the season was lost to Ramsey-not a good start, but we came back with a win over Kellogg the next week. One major problem that could have had an effect on the Hites team was our unfaithful lighting system. It consistantly failed to function properly and as a result there were no home games until Homecom- ing. Hopefully next year our lights will work, and Good Luck to the team of '80,
