gi il can ii -eg Lassies perform Grease Lightning. Lassies dance to Ease on Down the Road. lv X 1 is., 'Vi Q.. c 'N if . The alumni Lassies dance at the Homecoming game. What's a Lassie without a smile? This year the Lassies had a successful season. True - they didn't bring home first place in every competi- tion, but they brought home third place in the St. Paul Winter Carnival and they also were invited to make a guest appearance on the television show What's New. On that particular day all around the school TV sets could be found with proud Hylanders intently watching. Not only was appearing on TV something new this year for the Lassies, but also they strayed from the usual and performed two special dances. One was done to Grease Lighting and the other to Ease on Down the Road. These dances were quite a success. One thing that might have made it hard for the Lassies was the fact that Mr. Strum was not teaching at the high school. Clair Savre an ex-lassie and current- ly a member of the U of M danceline is helping to advise the Lassies. All of the Lassies had a great year. Dancing is an art of the Lassies.
