At the Frost Daze assembly, the seniors took first place in class competition, followed by the juniors, and then the sophs. With thoughts of Santa Claus, reindeer, bells ringing and trees glittering, what else could it mean, besides it's Christmas time! Columbia Heights joined the spirit of the season by putting on their annual Christmas Assembly. The day started out right with the special express delivery of our very own candy-grams. The voices of our choir could be heard throughout the halls ringing in the spirit of Christmas. The highlight of the day came as the assembly began and who should ap- pear but Good Old Saint Nick. His reindeer looked slightly familiar, but we won't say anything if the stu- dent council doesn't. Student pressure came into clear view as the faculty announced that morning they wouIdn't put on their traditional skit. Low and behold, due to student de- mand we heard the Norwegian Christmas Carol Oh Lutefisk, joined later by the cheerleaders' own ver- sion of the Twelve Days of Christmas. And what assembly would be complete without the band, choir and of course, our own Hyland Lassies.
