They included a slide presentation with their trip to the junior high schools. A speak- er from Northwestern Bell visited the high school on two separate occasions, attempting to attract and broaden the interests of women in the field of engineering. Speaking of women, for the first time in the history of Columbia Heights Senior High School, a woman is among the staff of math teachers! Con- gratulations, Ms. Skogstrom. What page was that? Science Enrollment Increases 5 .fs , , s z P ,A if l T. Brady ag'x,g. 'X ,N-I . , tl X I 5, if l R. Eue Physics students look skeptical. ., 1 . 'x K .A A ,i.i7,,. ,Q ,Q f W. Gergen M. Hamerston J. Jacobson M. Mikkola I know it's in here somewhere. This year it seems the science courses offered have become very popular with the students. Enrollment in the various science courses has gone up even in Chemistry and Physics, which students have voted the toughest courses in the Science Department. For the animal- lovers, a popular class is Animal Behavior in which students spend the quarter tak- ing care of various animals and perform- ing experiments on them. Besides Ole the monkey, this year the Science Depart- ment managed to get Leroy, a raccoon, from the Como Zoo. For people who enjoy a challenge, there is Physics and Chemistry. Most stu- dents agree that while these courses are time-consuming, they are well worth the effort and at times enjoyable.
