For sports: minded girls, activities such as basketball, bowling, swimming, . volley-ball, badminton, and baseball are just a Iew of the things they may participate in when they ioin the Girls' Athletic Association. Points and awards are given for participation in these or- ganized sports. With a large membership of girls for the ninth through twellth grades, this organization is presided over by president, Marlys Schuelein, adviser, Mrs. Kathryn Johnson, and the G.A.A. board. N jfnAv:ff RECOGNITION SERVICE FOREIGN INTRIGUEH-DODGER COMMITTEE SKIT Let's Go Y-Teens was the theme of the Y-Teen Club for i952-53. Some of the hi-Iites of the year included the Membership Party, the Recognition Service, the Boy-Girl Party, the Christmas Party, the Valentine Party, the Style Show, the Easter Breakfast, the Dad and Daugh- ter Basket Social, the formal, and the banquet at the end of the year. Next year's oflicers were then announced. Mrs. H. Linnee is the adviser and Miss E. Hull, our adviser from the YWCA. Every Y-Teen member is also a member of the YWCA. Y-TEEN HYMN If we can grow as simply as common blades ol grass Both tall and straight as trees grow to the sky, Then we can learn to know, to know and under- stand-ourselves and others What we do and why.
