The Dutch came to New Amsterdam And met the Indians there. The English fled from their homeland To worship without fear. The Spanish went to Florida And California, too. Later as Americans We crossed the desert through. Over the trails to Oregon And Down to Sante Fe All of us built America And Here it stands today. We took trips galore Around Manhattan's shore. We went to a farm to spend a day Watching animals eat and play. Arithmetic, reading, and science, too In these we always found plenty to do. French was added, which was new Now we can say Parlez-vous? We like our teachersg we like our school We like all the things we have to do. The year went fast and now at last We bid you a happy Adieu.
