SKETCH OF THE SOPHOMORE CLASS JHEELING that it is a matter of great concern that the world should know something about the Soph- omore Class, we humbly make our bow, and wish to present our compliments to the public through the medium of the Senior Year Book. The class is happy to have as its presiding officer Mr. Roy ll. Lewis. Mr. Lewis has that dignity and reserve the lack of which so often is characteristic of our class proceedings. I-le hails from North Carolina, and so far has remained loyal to his native State. ,Xlthough many and sundry maidens have striven to please him, he refuses to yield his heart to any of these fair ones of his adopted State. Miss Aleve Haddock, of Live Oak, Fla., lends grace and charm to the vice-presidential chair. She takes the Class motto very seriously, and so far hasn't suc- ceeded in growing any higher than four feet seven. 4 345 9 Our record and financial resources are kept by Bliss Mary Pimm, of Tampa, Fla. She is a most happy combination of industry and good nature. and is so studious that she both awes and stimulates the class. Qui' class Historian is Mr, Homer Howard, of Sa- rasota, Fla. He seems very earnest in the discharge of his duties, in spite of his vocal tendencies while the class is in session. Under the leadership of its four officers. the class takes daily delight in pressing ever onward to greater and greater achievements in the battlefield of school life. XVe look forward to that great climax of college life, Graduation Day, and with one accord we pour out a great libatiou to the gods that they may be so propitious as to grant us a survival of examinations, so that our progress may be, verily, the sentiment of our motto. ll.
