CLASS POEM EAR Alma Mater, as we sit to-day B Upon the threshold of a life begun, lVe would not ever be content to say, lVith folded arms. at all. The race is run. The impulse of this moment gives us cheer To climb the loftiest heights, where'er they be. To live a life reflective of thy care, And sing thy praise with all earth's minstrelsy. 'Tis now we pass from thy benignant care, Like grateful sons in fond maturity Go forth: we'll let our voice be heard each year, :Xnd bless thy name through all futurity. May Fortune prosper thee, and keep unharmed From every threatening dart and evil snare Thy own good name: may it by us be borne Till we thy own eternal joy shall share.
