SUNSHINE SPREADS GOOD2-WILL President, Marilyn Shoda, Treasurer, Phyllis Van Deman, Secretary, Marcia Hildebrand, and Sponsor, Mrs. Robert Sharpe are looking at Christmas cards. The Sunshine Society has gone its merry way spreading sunshine with every step. The aim of Sunshine is to bring happiness and comfort into the lives of people who need help, and they fulfilled their aim this year. Headed by a new sponsor, Mrs. Robert Sharpe, the group started to raise funds for the Riley Hospital, All the receipts from Riley Tag Day went into this fund. They helped the needy by sending out baskets at Thanksgiving, Thegirls decorated the Christmas tree in the main hall and sponsored theChristmas convo, bringing the holiday spirit closer to all of us,

Bigger and better were the words ofthe Annual Board motto, This group consists of two staffs, the editorial and the business staffs, each having their tasks in supplying the school with a successful COLUMBIAN. Representatives from each class and the senior president make up the business staff. Under the guidance of their manager, Jim Briggs, they turned a local business men to boost their funds. A dance aided in the pecuniary matters. The editorial staff was selected by the faculty. It has the rmponsibility ofcollecting pictures and writing the material that goes into the make-up of the book, Martha Chapman was the editor ofthe1954 COLUMBIAN, assisted by Joan Felger, Mrs. Ann Liakos sponsored the developing and financing of the yearbook.
