Michael Frank served as president with Fred Martz as vice-presi- dent, Ursula Wahl as secretary, and Ada Dowell as treasurer. Mrs. Lois Murphy and Mr. O. W. DeVol sponsored the class all four years. On May 7 and 8 the seniors presented their senior play. The juniors entertained the seniors on May 15, with a reception similar to the one last year. Class night was held on May 22, Baccalaureate was on May 24, and on May 29 the seniors received their diplomas Steve Spence presided over the meetings in their freshman year along with the officers, Fred Martz, vice-presidentg Nancy Spann, secretaryg and Barbara Hunt, treasurer. Fred Martz was elected president of the sopho- more class and Shirley Gruver was vice-president. Joann Jagger handled the class funds while Regina Hawthorne kept the minutes. The junior year found Michael Frank president, Junior Zumbrun, vice-president, Ursula Wahl, treas- urerg and Ada Dowell, secretary. In their junior year the class introduced the new idea of an all night reception held in Columbia City, The big night began with a banquet and for- mal dance at the American Legion Home. This was followed by a show at the Columbia Theater. A square dance was held at the Elks Lodge and then breakfast was served at the Moose Lodge. The var- ious organizations of Columbia City worked tn- gether to make the reception a success. The class chose as their motto, Finishedg yet beginning, their flower was the American Beauty Rose, and the colors were Red and Gray.
