I came to C.B.C. with training in theology and pastoral experience, and found that the need for apologetics and philosophy was in line with my further interest; and the Lord has led me along in unbelievable ways to the point where I ' m about to get a Ph.D. in philosophy! It still staggers my imagination. My advice to graduates would be along the lines of the great needs which manifest themselves in all unbelieving cultures. Learn as much as you possibly can about the culture about you — its backgrounds and principles — so that when you present the gospel, it goes right to the heart of matters!

Well, yes and no, is an oft used clause in Dr. Albert McCallister ' s vocabulary. The expression epitomizes a habit of thought towards learning realities. That is, an attitude of a willing acceptance which encourages the student to think further and to dialogue more about the issue. After all, the ultimate purpose of learning is not simply right and wrong answers, rather it is guiding and di- recting the pupil ' s mind to independent and creative thinking. For over a decade, God has been using Mac ' s unique style, a smooth blend between philosopher and pastor, to train fu- ture kingdom workers. The Finial dedication is simply a token of expressed gratitude. In a society that is seldom thankful, we say, Thank you, and please continue to provide your sterling leadership and standard of excellence both in and out of the classroom.
