Pl, s:cJ P - O fii. DEDICATED TO JESUS CHRIST And He shall be called: Wonderful Counselor. Al- mighty God, He Is the Holy One of Israel, The Sun of Righteousness, the Chief Cornerstone, the Re- surectlon and the Life. Lamb of God, and Son of God, and Son of Man, and Lord of all! Lord God Almighty! Holy, Holy Lord God! He is the way. He Is the Truth, the Life, He Is the Light of the world. He Is the Head of the Church, He is the Man of Sor- rows, Prince of Peace. He Is Rabbi and Teacher, and Master, and Shepherd, and Savior, Messiah, Re- deemer, and Advocate, Righteous Judge! Bright and Morning Star. King of all kings. He is the Lord Jesus Christ! And He is Lord of lords. His Name is Jesus Christ! He is Author and Finisher of our faith. He Is the Word of Life, and God ' s only Son, He is the great I Am forever. Alpha and Omega, and forever. Alpha and Omega, Praise His Names, His Holy Names forever! 1982 FINIAL APPRECIATION NEWELL D. FERRIS Registrar Since 1950, thousands of students have had their courses charted through the troubled waters of academia by Newell Ferris. The Lord has given him an unusual gift in handling facts and figures with accuracy and compassion! His touch with the organ and his spiritual discernment in playing in chapel has also been a great ministry to the whole CBC family. He has also used his musical talent in hundreds of weddings, funerals and church services, playing everyth- ing from the piano to portable foot-pedaled organs. He also has a green thumb, raising lovely flowers and acting as consultant plant physician when needed. Thirty-two years of faithfulness can only be partly recognized through this Finial appreciation but we all salute Newell D. Ferris on this happy occasion! Jane Bayuszik and her staff put many hours of planning and praying into the whole weekend. Many alumni returned and shared a re- freshing time together. Robertson McQuilkin President Dear CBC Students: I hope this Finial will be a reminder of God ' s faithfulness in the 1981-82 school year. Together we shared the joys of pineapple victories, per- sonally we experienced the struggles of many tests and the joy of victory. How do you plan to use the Finial? I plan to use it as a pray reminder and, years hence, to identify people whose path I cross once again or whose path 1 would like to cross! May it be a blessing now and through the years. Gum Blandstan s great return to WWIW. Gum is the former radio announcer of WWIW which has recently gone to an amateur skit night TV show. In honor of Gum Blandstan s 50th anniversary, WWIW held a telethon with extraordinary, special chosen skits to help earn money for Gurn. There were only four skits chosen for competition in this special event. The contestants were WFRE, WSOP, WJUN and WSEN V -i ' --) 1 ' . xK ,-- . n- t, xK also there were two special entries not competing. They were WDEA and WGRA. It was a night to remember. Gum and his band moved back in time to the good old days of Jazz music and Chattanooga Choo Choo, to raise the total up on the tote board. The awards were divided into 3 catagories — participation which WJUN ran away with, originality which WSEN easily took, and the best overall which WSOP took with a landslide Yes, October 30th is a night to remember!
