C. 29203 Each new day brings us into a deeper reali- zation of our main purpose and goal in ife, a keen awareness to know Him and to make Him known. Looking unto Jesus we set our sights high. Above and beyond ourselves, our dreams and plans, we seek His will, stay ourselves in His love and stand on His promises. We Would See Jesus MM a . «• • I •t In the Morning Will I Direct My Prayer Unto Thee, and Will Look Up. Ps. 5:3 We dedicate the 1976 FINIAL to one who is very much a part of us; someone who has taken God ' s interest in us and conveyed His love to us; an individual who stands with us; a man who has unselfishly given his time and energy relating his life to ours. THANK YOU fo r challenging us to THINK — giving God an inroad to teach us more about Himself. By putting others first, yourself last, and God always, you have made us feel loved, needed and important; but most of all, you have satisfied the heart of God for this is well pleasing in His sight. However, the associ- ation consists of over 4,000 members because any former students showing interest in the association are given full membership. Honorary membership is granted to faculty, board members and others appointed by the executive committee for special reasons. The alumni association was organized during commencement week, 1930. In drawing up its constitution, the association stated that its aim was to cooperate with the Bible college and its pur- pose .is expressed in the motto, ' To Know Him and to Make Him Known ; to promote fellowship among the graduates; to combine our efforts for the work of the Bible college. In its effort to fulfill these aims, the alumni association publishes the CeBeCequel and mails it to all former students who maintain an interest in the Bible college, promotes chapter meetings in those areas where there is a concentration of alumni, provides field tape-libraries, contains a directory and information service, pro- vides a personal counseling service, and has projects to benefit Columbia Bible College. This year the $70,000 alumni project is aimed at assisting the new FM radio station. Frank A. Fry, president of the association, works closely with the executive committee of the Bible college, and prayerfully they seek to win others to an active interest in the school. This year Mr. Fry also served as director of extension ministries. Miss Goldie Plank completed her second year as secretary in the alumni office, and Mrs. Mittie Hatch and Mr. Richard Melick were elected to membership in the executive committee. Executive Committee members Jack Matthews, Mittie Hatch, Frank Fry (President), Rose McQciay, Richard Melick, and Alumni Office Secretary, Goldie Plank. 0ii il09§B£ IVINC I NTERACTION DIFICATION Mission Commitment Olle Ahlcn Benjamin Andrus Richard Arma Diana Baker H. NOT PICTLIRED: Jeff Griffcn, Vice Pres. I remember the first day we came; we were so excited. We met Deb Northcutt and Armond LeBlanc, our big sis and big brother. Orientation and the New Student Social were really fun — but then they hit us with homework. We were the first class to take Western Man. I remember that first Christmas vacation. We were glad to leave, but our joy was even greater upon returning to school and to our friends. That developed into a pattern. We began to call school home, and coming back was our lOmecoming. We have developed some relationships here that will be meaningful and vital throughout all eternity. remember eating in the old Dining Hall. That was such a cozy place. Everyone knew what everyone else was doing in those days — good old Social Pressure — I hated to see it go. I remember the Chapel Hour. Many were life changing. The experiences of so many godly men have become a wealth of personal blessing. Their lives have enriched ours. I remember a lot of special times. I ' ll never forget the time Mrs. Sadler gave us a tour of the Wax Museum. And Pat Terry was enjoyed by everyone. There were Halloween parties, Esrever Days, Open Houses, Sing Outs and so many other great times. I laugh and cry both, as I remember these past days.
