I dedication as director for men ' s christian service, mr. petty supervises over 200 men in their weekly christian sen. i the glory of God is not completely, nor even primarily, accomplished in the knowing of Him. rather, it is in the making known through the witness of words and deeds that He is glorified. if the rest of our faculty is involved in leading us to have that basic knowledge of God. mr. petty is involved in our imparting that knowledge to others, for this reason we dedicate finial ' 68 to mr. thomas m. petty. 12 i 14? V- ' -v- ' - jT Wr after graduating from asbury college, mr. petty was headmaster ofpineville school. bv the wav, have you guys seen the new lev? administration dear students: the wonder of living for t he glory of God was made more real to me through a public figure who gave this reason for a decision, i love myself too much for that. how wonderfully different to do all because the love of Christ constraineth me. to do all to the glory of God is wonderful for the Lord. only about God can it be said, worthy art Thou to receive the glory. it is good that our God receives that which belongs to Him. to live unto Him is good for those we seek to win. nothing is as repulsive to another as one who seeks his own and not the things of Jesus Christ. how meet for the Master ' s use is one who is living for the glory of God. to live for Christ is also good for the individual since God created man for this, he does not function normally until he lives for something outside himself how good it is for him to live for the only worthy cause, his Creator and Redeemer. how rich are those who know Him, Who died for all, that they that live should no longer live unto themselves but unto Him. yours for His glory, y James m hatch L dean of faculty 16 the board of trustees board members mr f c aldridge miss margaret m childs miss marv c dibble dr John f dunlap mr melvin e kellar rev r arthur mathews dr Stephen f olford mr david h petty dr alan redpath mr anthonv t rossi dr t Stanley soliau mr Wendell h tiller dr paul r van gorder dr vv a wliitesell mr r edwin wilson chairman of the board, dr paul r van gorder presidenlial iiomiiiaiing commillee chairman, dr john f dunlap administration board announces third president, j. robertson mcquilken wY acting dean of administration James m. hatch assistant to the president robert e. mcghan 18 dean of women Sara ni. pelly administrative deans Joan I. kelly director of graduate school of missions irvine roberlson dean of men j.
