The Christian Service Departments of Columbia Bible College in the past have been used as a pattern for ser- vice by the Accrediting Association for Bible Schools and Colleges. Under the combined operation of men ' s and women ' s Christian Service departments, students participate in nearly thirty distinct fields of minis- try in an effort not only to trainthem- selves for future service, but in a present concentrated outreach to glorify the Lord through seeing souls accept Christ and grow in His grace. From the campus base the two directors, Miss Strauss and Mr. Petty, see students go out to take part in Bible Clubs, hospital visitation, church work, public school teaching, open air meetings, and a variety of other service opportunitites . Wheth- er in the Freshman Choir or on the Catawba Indian Reservation, CBC students continue to learn of Christ and serve Him who always leadeth us in triumph. ' AM? MUSIC Ambassador Choir MUSIC DEPARTMENT: Convinced that music is essential to normal Christian life and growth, CBC offers many channels through which the Lord ' s new song can be expressed. For many years the Ambassador Choir (pictured above) has represented Jesus Christ and CBC and has held concerts all over the United States, from Vermont to Texas, from Florida to Illinois. The Freshman Choir and Spanish Choir complete the choral groups which represent the Christian Ser- vice department. Other choral groups which are assembled during the year as volunteer efforts are the Messiah Choir, and varying other seasonal cantata groups. Individual music development is stressed as a basic need in Christ- ian work today. Much opportunity, throughout the Southeast, as well as locally and on campus., is afforded for solo, instrumental, and small group music service opportunities. Trumpet Trio Ambassador Quartet
