Dear Seniors: We have a great God and Saviour Jesus Christ, and have been saved with a great salvation. My prayer for you as you go forth from C.B.C. is that you also will be great; not great in the eyes of men, but great in the kingdom of heaven. You will be making a life-long choice between the two. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble. And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not. Constant love in the Lord, G. Allen Fleece

Consider All the Worlds Thy Hands Have Made One of the greatest causes for awesome wonder at the worlds God ' s hands have made is their perfect order. Some of the order and efficiency of this universe has been placed in the hands of men. One of these men is among us. His common sense, practical advice, and active foresight have been a blessing to the Bible Col- lege since its early days. For showing us, as our teacher, so many practical things; for being able to operate be- hind the scenes as our business manager; and, as our vice-president, for doing an excellent job of helping Dr. Fleece, we dedicate this yearbook to you, Mr. HEHL. The Christian life is not designed to keep you from trial. It is designed to keep you from defeat. If you want people to see what God is like, let them see what He can make you like. When the Bible Calls you - follow Rebukes you - repent Commands you - obey. Christianity is meant to be bread for daily use, not cake for special occasions. No man is ever conquered by temptation. He surrenders to it. The road to success may be winding, but it is never crooked. Our fruitage for Christ reveals our rootage in Him. Men who move the world are men whom the world cannot move. When things go wrong as they sometimes will; when the road you are trudging seems all uphill; when the funds are low and the debts are high, and you want to smile but you have to sigh; when studies are pressing you down a bit, just rest in God but don ' t you quit. i ' ! f JW ' 9 LlH a-, jg SP H j «i? Mr. RAYMOND F. SHEPHERD Mr. Shepherd ' s ambition as a young boy was to be a garbage collector because he liked to drive trucks. However, at the age of 12 he was called by the Lord to be a preacher. He pursued his studies at Cornell University, graduating with a B.A. in 1950, and with an M.A. the following year. After leaving Cornell, he taught in the field of speech at St. Olaf College from 1951-1953, and at Prairie Bible Institute from 1953- 1958. Mr. and Mrs. Shepherd have a happy family of three lovely children, two boys, aged eight and three, and one girl, aged five. NEW FACULTY Mr. DOUGLAS S. WATSON It ' s all Greek to me, students have often said by their blank expressions, as they faced Mr. Douglas S. Watson in his Greek, Hebrew, and Biblical Introduction classes. Mr. Watson is an alumnus of the Bible College, class of 1949. He spent the following three years at Faith Seminary, Philadelphia, getting his Bachelor of Divinity degree. Before coming to our faculty he taught at Emmaus Bible School, both the branch in Toronto and the one in Illinois, and at Faith Seminary. He and Mrs. Watson have two boys, aged sixteen and fourteen, and two girls, aged nine and eleven.
