Keep out of your life all that will keep Christ out of your heart. God wants men who are big enough to be small enough to be used of Him. Those who fight the good fight of faith always win. Be still and know that I Am God. If Satan cannot defeat you at prayer, he can- not defeat you any- where. It is not enough to possess the Bible. You must let the Bible possess you. Consider All the Worlds Thy Hands Have Made One of the greatest causes for awesome wonder at the worlds God ' s hands have made is their perfect order. Some of the order and efficiency of this universe has been placed in the hands of men. One of these men is among us. His common sense, practical advice, and active foresight have been a blessing to the Bible Col- lege since its early days. For showing us, as our teacher, so many practical things; for being able to operate be- hind the scenes as our business manager; and, as our vice-president, for doing an excellent job of helping Dr. Fleece, we dedicate this yearbook to you, Mr. HEHL. The Christian life is not designed to keep you from trial. It is designed to keep you from defeat. If you want people to see what God is like, let them see what He can make you like. When the Bible Calls you - follow Rebukes you - repent Commands you - obey. Christianity is meant to be bread for daily use, not cake for special occasions. No man is ever conquered by temptation. He surrenders to it. The road to success may be winding, but it is never crooked. Our fruitage for Christ reveals our rootage in Him. Men who move the world are men whom the world cannot move. When things go wrong as they sometimes will; when the road you are trudging seems all uphill; when the funds are low and the debts are high, and you want to smile but you have to sigh; when studies are pressing you down a bit, just rest in God but don ' t you quit. i ' ! f JW ' 9 LlH a-, jg SP H j «i? ' ffBi a, M Miii P ' fi MH A T I J Dear Seniors: We have a great God and Saviour Jesus Christ, and have been saved with a great salvation. My prayer for you as you go forth from C.B.C. is that you also will be great; not great in the eyes of men, but great in the kingdom of heaven. You will be making a life-long choice between the two. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble. And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not. Constant love in the Lord, G. Allen Fleece Mr. RAYMOND F. SHEPHERD Mr. Shepherd ' s ambition as a young boy was to be a garbage collector because he liked to drive trucks. However, at the age of 12 he was called by the Lord to be a preacher. William Supplee. He has been on the faculty of C.B.C. since 1949, and every moment of this time with us he has been a radiant testimony to all. Mr. Supplee ' s main position is that of directing the Music Department. This position has many re- sponsibilities, the main two of which are the teaching of the freshman music courses and the directing of the Ambassador Choir. All who have had classes under Mr. Supplee will testify to his great love for the Lord Jesus, his patience, and his humility. Our praise goes to the Lord for keeping him with us, and we trust that his consistent testi- mony will be instrumental in leading others into a closer walk with Jesus. Mr. G. W. They reach the trailer camps at Shaw Air Force Base, and Indians on the Catawba Indian Reservation. They go to people in churches, in prisons, in hospitals, and on the street. They teach Bible in the public schools, and in the Girls ' State Industrial School. With extra personal workers added this year, the students also hold Bible clubs for young people and children. This year special follow- up workshops have been held to teach students how to bring those whom they lead to Christ to grow and walk in Him. It is the greatest joy to know that because of our Christian Ser- vice work this year many people will sing with us in Heaven, Our God, how great Thou art. Biweekly meetings are held, at which helpful information is given concerning the Christian home, including spiritual, practical, social, and child - training areas. Other activities include these Christian service projects: ladies ' Bible classes, children ' s Bible clubs, and Gospel team work. Mrs. Frizelle Hill is the capable and well-loved adviser of Pi Gamma. The highlight of this year has been the opening of a nursery for the children of married students. It is held during the time of the daily C.B.C. classes, and is under the direction of Mrs. Richard Pelonero. The nursery is operated on a faith basis. We praise God for this provision which makes it possible for the wives to attend some of the C.B.C. classes and receive the same Bible training their husbands are having. Members of this class have never lived without bloody wars, hot wars or cold wars. It is refreshing to have a class that enrolls for boot training as soldiers of the Cross. I hope many will soon be prepared to know Him and to make Him known. This expresses the desire of the Freshman class advisor, Mr. Petty, as he shares in the joys and problems of this class.
